You would first need to write an image of your hard dcico to a FAT32 partition on another drive - or these days, perhaps even to tuner/nda large flash card, though any device connected by USB will only get legacy USB data transfer speeds. It gives no file system, but Paragon tells me it is Linux Ext2. One unfortunate additional complication in recent times appears to be the potentially disruptive effect of some Windows updates.

I think you're in dream mode when talking about the future. Larry, WMC was included in most versions of windows 7 but not in Windows dbico, so you likely don't have that option on the new machine.

The team works very hard to make tuner/bsa the community is running the best HTPC-software. We did experience some quirks while time-shifting. I am using Microsoft's best tools and have checked Media Center and I think it is off. It's worked very well for me over the years, and for me it's the ultimate protection against malware and viruses.
